Resolved Question: To what extent were nationalism and liberalism in Germany linked to each other in the early 19th Century?

Yes, this is homework in a sense. Im studying this question for my college exam next weak and im pretty sure i got it nailed. But i would just like to hear anyone else opinions on this question... in any sense or any regard. Im a little confused about trying to say how they where similar but different at the same time and also in regards to their significance in particular to the Revolutions of 1848 and afterwards. I know this is a very specific and difficult question... but if anyone answers an even half Intelligent answer i will forever thumb up your questions, pick you in future as best answer and all round kiss your ass.
